I Have a Land in Scotland as a Member of the Laphroaig Club.

I became a member of the club, Friends of Laphroaig, and accordingly became a lifetime leaseholder of a square foot of land in Islay, Scotland. The plot is beside the water-supply to the distillery, the Kilbride stream and if I go to the distillery in person and claim for the rent, they will pay the annual rent of one dram of whisky. Isn't it marvelous to know that you are connected to the great distillery in the world this way?

So, how can you be a club member and get a square foot of land? It is easy. Buy a bottle of Laphroaig! The bottle comes with a booklet which explains how to be a member. Register through the Internet. That's it.

People of the Laphroaig distillery definitely have a sense of humor!

CAUTION: If you don't usually drink whisky, you may not like Laphroaig. If you like robust and peaty whisky, you will love it.
